[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] TCP/IP software for Altos 2086

jim@tiamat.fsc.com (Jim O'Connor) (04/14/89)

I know there are vendors reading this newsgroup, so I'll ask this question
here. I don't really expect much of a response, but I have to at least
ask.

Is there anyone who has TCP/IP software that will run on an Altos 2086
running Altos Xenix 3.4?

(pause, to let the laughter die down :-)

Points to keep in mind:

1 - Altos Xenix != SCO Xenix, actually Altos Xenix <<<< SCO Xenix
2 - Putting SCO Xenix on the Altos is not possible. If it were, I would have
    done it long ago. :-)
3 - There is supposed to be an Ethernet board available for the 2086 from
Altos, but I have yet to hear of anyone actually using it.
Otherwise, SLIP would be the only means of physical connection
(No flames, please, in this case, slow TCP/IP is better than NO TCP/IP).

Please quote any and all exorbitant prices, since the cost might not be
a factor if something is actually available.

Thanks for your attention (you can stop laughing now :-).
