[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] Help with SOCK_RAW

I have been trying to take advantage of the SOCK_RAW
type of socket. Even though I've looked through the
manuals and sources, I'm still not clear on what data
format is needed or what system call to use (ie, do I need to
use an mbuf and do I just use "sendto"). My attempts
so far have failed. I would appreciate any help with this.
