The Instruction Set is Europe's leading supplier of UNIX training and consultancy. We also supply a binary distribution of UNIX V.2.2 for VAX hardware, from MicroVax to 8600 under the trademark of NUXI. We are technical consultants to the X/OPEN Group, which comprises Bull, Ericsson, ICL, Nixdorf, Olivetti, Philips, and Siemens. From Spring of 1986 we will be 'Master Distributor' for Sun NFS in Europe, as well as providing European UNIX System V support for Intel processors. We are always looking for high-quality technical staff for full-time employment. Freelances/University-based consultants are also used for week-long training courses. A large proportion of our work is carried out in mainland Europe, particularily France, West Germany, Holland and Scandinavia. Technical activities include: 1. Training Hands-on workshops from 'UNIX For Programmers' to the UNIX Kernel. C, C++, Networking & Communications (incl X.25, TCP/IP), Ada, Informix, Unify, OCCAM & the TRANSPUTER. 2. Consultancy Porting generic UNIX system V to 68000, NS 32000 and Intel 286 families, UNIX networking (NFS & TCP/IP), driver writing, UNIX performance enhancement. General UNIX & C consultancy. 3. System Software Development & support for UNIX System V on VAX hardware. Porting & support of Sun NFS.
