A number of sites on the internet are advertising "uucp" connections
with other internet sites. My understanding is that they actually
run uucp over ip. I have run across a number of UNIX systems that
have entries for "uucpd" in /etc/services, however there doesn't
seem to be any consistency in the tcp port numbers being used for this
service. Also, the connection protocol doesn't seem to be documented.
I would like to find out what port these sites are using, and what
sort of handshake they go through upon connection, prior to starting
up uucico. Please email and I'll summarize.
