[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] tcpdump for SunOS4.0?

bierma@NPRDC.NAVY.MIL (Larry Bierma) (06/01/89)

The latest copy of the tcpdump program from LBL (README file
dated Oct 21, 1988) does not work under SunOS4.0 (as clearly
stated in the README file). Has anyone written a 4.0 NIT
interface for tcpdump (or in some other way gotten it to
work with 4.0)?

Larry	,

i have a limping OS4.0 tcpdump, that someone could take and run with

it should be anon ftp-able from
cs.ucl.ac.uk
(or purple.cs.ucl.uk, 128.16.6.4)
in src/tcpdump.tar.Z
(compressed, tar format)

BUGS
it contains certain bugs that are of my making but the
OS4 NIT usage code should be a starter :-)

WARNINGS
It can crash your Sun
