========================================================================== Los Alamos National Laboratory The Electronics Division needs an innovative software staff member to be part of a small software/hardware team developing a hypercube computer. SCOPE OF WORK: This staff member will work with operating system software staff members in developing a UNIX port that will perform well on the hypercube nodes. The person will work in a dynamic development environment with many hardware and software tools. The existing research computing facilities include Sun-2 and Sun-3 Workstations, a VAX 11/785 and a VAX 11/780. This individual must have professional-level experience working with the UNIX operating system internals including, but not limited to, writing UNIX device drivers. Provicient use of the C language required and experience with porting UNIX to new hardware prefered. EDUCATION: B.S. or M.S. in computer science or mathematics. Must be eligible for a DOE Q security clearance.
