I have a question on 4.3 BSD tcp_input() code. In the section in which keepalive packets are handled, there is a comment that says "Dont toss RST in response to 4.2 style keepalive." The code following it checks for RST flag in the incoming packet. Does this mean that 4.2 BSD sets the RST flag in a keepalive packet? Can somebody point to me to 4.2 BSD sources?
