[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] inverting source routes

grn@stl.stc.co.uk (Gary Nebbett) (07/26/89)

When a machine running SunOS 4.0.1 replies to a packet received with an IP
source route option it appears to correctly invert the source route but it does
not seem to reset the pointer.

I have looked at the 4.3BSD sources posted to comp.bugs.4bsd.ucb-fixes last
year and they seem to have the same problem.

Sorry to post this to such a large list but I have heard that the "well known
names" associated with the 4.3BSD networking software have unmanagably large
email in-trays.
