[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] terminal servers for modems?

dan@s3dawn.ARPA (Dan Peterka) (07/29/89)

Does anyone have a good recommendation for an 8 line or so terminal server
which supports full modem control? We have an Annex II and can't get it to
do hardware flow control to work with a modem. Has anyone else been able to
get UUCP to negotiate an Annex II?

----------

True, the Annex II allows you to have modem control or flow control, but
not both. But that's OK for UUCP, since UUCP uses packet protocols that
handle their own flow control. Just set it up as a "modem" connection, and
set input_flow and output_flow to "none".
