[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] Oracle and TCP/IP on System V/386.

Is there any standard for the Streams TLI interfaces to socket libraries
for System V? We have a Bell Tech/Intel SV/386 with Lachman TCP using a
WD8003e Ethernet card. The Oracle docs indicate it needs SQL*Net which
requires a MICOM-Interlan NP600 Ethernet card. If the socket library
interface to the Streams TLI is compatible then we should just be able
to run Oracle with Lachman TCP. This would be particularly desirable
since we plan on getting a Bell Tech IWS card, and since it includes an
Intel PC586 controller it'd be nice not to have to duplicate it.

There is no standard for mapping TLI calls into TCP operations. Each
supplier of SVR3(Streams) TCP is likely to have somewhat different
interface functionality or calling sequences.
