Morning all, I was wondering if anyone has seen/heard of/ knows of a way to allow LU6.2 communication between two IP hosts using SOCKETS as the transport mechanism? It certainly doesn't seem like something I'd care to try but I've had more than a few inquiries about it so there must be interest somewhere for it. I assume this means two programs that only talk LU6.2 needing to communicate via a TCP socket. Thanks in advance, Chris VandenBerg ACC chris@salt.acc.com 805-963-9431

In general, SNA Services are implemented on top of the IP layer, rather than the TCP/UDP layer. This is because SNA has its own transport mechanisms, including multiplexing of NAUs and LUs streams. This, of course, includes the LU6.2 (Application level) Host-Host facility. -- {apple, pacbell, hplabs, ucbvax}!well!gors gors@well.sf.ca.us (Doolan) | (Meyer) | (Sierchio) | (Stewart)
