[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] Wollongong TCP on 386 Streams problems

samc@ntpdvp1.UUCP (Sam Christie) (08/31/89)

We are using SysV/386 for a small (10 node) network. The net
is based on RFS running over Wollongong TCP/IP for streams.
We have also written a network based multi-terminal access system
which permits us to use an existing arcnet network to connect into
SysV. This software relies on streams and the ld0 (ldterm) module.
Unfortunately, when a user so connected attempts to use telnet or
FTP, the Wollongong software goes south. It is apparently assuming
that the incoming user is using its own sockets implementation. It
seems that the software is confused because the user is comming in
through a streams device.

I am hoping that some change to our streams device would enable the TCP/IP
software to accept the user normally.

Also, if Wollongong is accessable via uunet, I would like a contact.
