DEADLINE: February 1, 1986
DEPARTMENT: Current computer science research interests in the
department center on operating systems, networking and artificial
intelligence. The department has a Vax 750, as well as a number
of powerful workstations (Sun, IBM, 3B2, MicroVax). The Emory
University Computing Center provides access to IBM mainframes
and additional Vax minicomputers.
CAMPUS AND AREA: Emory University is a liberal arts University with
large graduate and professional schools. The undergraduate
program has about 3500 students and classes are generally small.
Emory is located in a quiet residential area in suburban Atlanta.
The department of Mathematics and Computer Science has about 125
undergraduate majors and offers the MS degree in Computer Science
and both the MS and PhD in mathematics.
