What I need: Products Engineer - 2 openings The Products Engineer is responsible for all technical aspects of third-party software running under UniPlus+, UniSoft's UNIX(tm)-derived System V and System V Release 2, and 4.2BSD. Your duties include the following: You would be the primary technical contact for our vendors. You would be responsible for doing preliminary evaluations of basic functionality (does it work?) and ease of product generation (do we have to debug their makefile?) of vendor software. You will productize the vendor software for release to our oems on either 4.2BSD or System V. You will working on a variety of 68000-based systems and our VAXen. This is an excellent position for gaining an in-depth knowledge of UNIX tools and utilities. What you need: 1 to 2 years of user-level UNIX experience, including knowledge of shell programming. Thorough knowledge of C is required. Good communications skills a must. Experience with UNIX System V and 4.2BSD useful. Who we are: UniSoft Corporation is a four year old company based in Berkeley, California. Our primary job is the porting of the UNIX System V and V.2 kernel to 680x0 computers. We have done swapping and demand paged versions of V.2. We also support Berkeley TCP/IP networking, our own implementation of Sun's NFS, and Appletalk. Our work is starting to branch out into UNIX-related activites, such as the System V Validation Suites, and the internationalization of UNIX with Kanji UNIX.
