A vote is currently underway for the creation of the newsgroup comp.dcom.sys.cisco. A mass acknowledgement has been posted to news.groups. Attached is the original call for votes: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Group: comp.dcom.sys.cisco Charter: Vendor specific discussion about data communications products from cisco Systems Inc. Management: The group will be unmoderated. Gateway: The Internet cisco mailing list will have a one-way gateway into this group. At some future time, the newsgroup may gateway into the mailing list. This will be the topic of a separate vote, and should not be considered part of this newsgroup proposal. Voting: Votes should be sent to "tli@usc.edu" or "usc!tli". Per the USEnet newsgroup creation rules, votes must be explicit. They should be of the form "I vote for the group comp.dcom.sys.cisco as proposed" or "I vote against the group comp.dcom.sys.cisco as proposed." Ambiguous votes will not count and will be returned to the sender. Deadline: Votes must be received by 11:59pm PST, Wed. Feb 28, 1990 in my mailbox.
