[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] can a router do this?

rbp@well.sf.ca.us (Bob Pasker) (02/14/90)

I have a customer with a multi storey building who has different
segments of ethernet for different business purposes. There is no way
that these segments will be joined for business (read: political)
reasons. My application needs to disseminate information to machines
on all of these different segments in realtime, but keep them isolated
from each other. These segments and all their twisted pair are run
over a broadband network which runs up and down the floors. Putting
separate ethernet adapters in my box is not an acceptable solution.

Any ideas?

thanks,
