I've heard that a public domain implementation of SNMP exists for TCP/IP. Does anyone know how to/where to get it? The reference came from the Feb Sun Observer. It mentions Carnegie-Mellon University. Thanks, Tim tucker@sonyusa.sony.com

There are at least 3 non-proprietary SNMP agents for BSD UNIX. There is the MIT release, the CMU release, and the ISODE release. I'm not sure where the MIT and CMU releases are kept. You can get the ISODE 6.0 release both via FTP and USPS. Drop bug-isode@nisc.nyser.net a note if you want the contact information. /mtr
