Thanks to all of you who became concerned over my access difficulties to RFCs. Now, to head off any further concerns, let me tell you that a recent posting describing NIC's address changes and a call to SRI's 800 number have fully straightened me out a full couple of days past. Having no prior knowledge of the address change at NIC had frustrated my attempts to get RFCs using the old 'ARPA' mailing address for the SERVICE and this lead me to further confusion by misinterpreting passages in Mr. McDaniel's recent posting. Using the new Address at MIL works fine. In the mean time, my confusion has afforded me with much more helpful information still, from those who became concerned about my last posting. The net is indeed a very knowledgable (and hospitable) place. Again, thanks. This is about as orderly a release as I can do for now from my end. Should anybody open this socket again, direct them back to the recent cascade of articles which relate my recent confussion. --briand
