Intel CAD in Santa Clara,  California,  is  looking  for  an
experienced  CAD  project  leader for the Engineering Design
Environment Project -- Eden.   The  ideal  candidates  would
have  at  least 3 years industrial or research experience in
CAD tool development or chip design experience with a strong
software  background.   We  are looking for highly motivated
and innovative people to work  on  a  challenging  state-of-
the-art VLSI design system.


SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:

Will be project leader of  EDeN  Open  Systems  Group.   The
Group  is  responsible  for  the design, implementation, and
maintenance of the EDeN data structures and data access rou-
tines.   The  work  done  in this group must support the CAD
development community as CAD tools are integrated into EDeN,
Intel's  engineering  design  environment. Will work closely
with the EDeN team members,  other  CAD  developers,  design
engineers and layout designers.


DESIRED EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

Should have at  least  3  years  industrial  experience,  or
equivalent   academic  experience,  with  large  interactive
applications, preferably but not exclusively, in  CAD.  Must
have  demonstrated  ability to design and implement programs
with complex data and control structures.   Must  have  good
verbal  and  written  communication  skills.  Should  have a
demonstrated ability to make tradeoffs in a complex, techni-
cal environment.

MS in CS, EE, or related  degree  required,  PhD  desirable.
Programming experience with high level languages (Pascal, C,
Mainsail, etc) is required. A knowledge  of  CAD  is  highly
desirable,  but  not  essential. Experience with interactive
graphics applications and previous  managerial  and  project
leadership experience is a plus.
