[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] A future standard for UNIX TCP/IP?

I hear a rumour that the 4.4BSD TCP/IP is intended to be compliant
with the Host Requirements RFCs (I'm not sure if that included both
RFCs or just RFC1122).
Given the status of the current 4.3BSD TCP/IP as something of a
'functional standard' for UNIX (and other) implementations, it would be
worth a small wager that an enhanced (compliant) 4.4BSD TCP/IP will
be the standard of the future.
If I were a UNIX supplier and I had to choose between fixing my
current port to meet the HRs or hanging on for a new BSD version....
I also heard that 4.4 is to include support for OSI protocols, this
begins to sound too good to be true.

What is the status of 4.4BSD, is there going to be one, does it exist
yet? Does anyone out there have any advance information on what 4.4BSD
might add to the current standard of TCP/IP implementation?
