We have been trying to create a connection between two Unix machines running SysV. On one we have a client program sending connection requests and on the other we have a server program listening for connection requests. The machines are connected via Ethernet using TCP/IP. We have had no success - with the client machine not receiving connection accepts from the server. One fundamental problem seems to be binding a suitable well-known address to the server. Has anyone had any success with a similar arrangement? Can anyone offer any advice/help? Thanks in advance...
