We are considering porting TCP/IP to a CMC FDDI card that will sit in a single board VME box so that we can put a customized image storage and retrieval system on an FDDI network. Since many implementations of TCP/IP already exist, I am interested in obtaining source for these protocols, where the source represents an implementation known to be very good for large volume throughput. I am under the impression that most implementations are in C. Please correct me if I am wrong. I'd also like some input from implementors as to what bottle necks have been found that have down graded performance in various TCP/IP implementations. Since I read the tcp-ip mailing list from a bulletin board where archiving is under the controll of b-board administrators, I would like all responses sent to: bjp@mbunix.mitre.org Thanks for your time. Anything you send will be a big help. Sincerely bj Pease MITRE Corp. Bedford, MA
