Infotronx, Inc. (pronounced "Infotronics") is a small
software house in the west suburban Chicago area. We
specialize in gathering data on employee time and attendance
for businesses and health-care facilities.
We are looking for a mature person who is an experienced
programmer with a very strong background in C and Unix.
He or she will join our current programming staff of three
in both the continued development of our current systems
and in new product development.
The person we select must have solid experience in C
applications programming in a multitasking Unix environment,
including curses, advanced file and terminal I/O, interprocess
communication, and knowledge of computer communications. He or
she will work on supermicro and/or supermini systems running Unix V
and Xenix. Knowledge of MS-DOS and IBM-PC's and compatible micros
is also required. Project management experience is highly
desired. Knowledge of C-Isam, a relational dbms such as Informix
or Unify, and of data collection devices such as bar code and
mag stripe readers is a plus.
