Did BSD4.3 implementation of TCP send as a synchoronous send, i.e. the sender (application process) is un-block only after the message is sent and acknowledged by the receiver?? If it is not, when the sender is un-block? After the message has been copied to the kernel buffer or after the kernel is able to push the message out and before receive ACK from the receiver. Please send the response to me directly. I will summarize if there is enough interest. Thanks - Beng Hang (email: taybengh@nusdiscs)
