UNIVERSITY OF EDINBURGH DEPARTMENT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IT LECTURESHIP IN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (INTELLIGENT ROBOTICS) Applications are invited for an IT Lectureship in Artificial Intelligence, specialising in Intelligent Robotics. The Department of Artificial Intelligence is the leading European university centre for research into intelligent systems, and has a well established reputation in this area. There are strong links with other departments, such as Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, particularly through the joint M. Sc. programme in Information Technology, and the new joint honours degree in association with Computer Science. Besides making a significant contribution to the department`s research in this area, the candidate would be expected to participate in its teaching programme. Candidates should have post doctoral experience and proven ability for independent research and innovation. A person who already holds a permanent appointment in a United Kingdom university is not eligible for the appointment under the UGC`s IT Lectureship scheme. Salary will be on the lecturer scale, 8020-15700 pounds per annum, with superannuation under the University Superannuation Scheme. The starting salary will depend on age, qualifications and experience.
