[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] 4.0 NIT Bug

macg@cs.UAlberta.CA (Mike MacGregor) (09/01/90)

Apologies in advance, as this has probably been thoroughly
discussed here:

I built NNStat here the other day, and upon running it
was told:

NNStat: Fatal NIT error
Statspy depends on bug fix in nit_if.c

The code says that Van Jacobson has found and fixed the bug.
Can someone please ship me the fix, or point me to an archive ?
Please mail direct as I don't normally read this group.

Thanks in advance,
Mike MacGregor

Virtual memory works fine, so long as it's mostly real.

Mike,

Fixed object modules for Sun OS 4.0.x are available for anonymous FTP
from host venera.isi.edu with pathnames pub/nit_if.o or
  pub/nit_if.o.sparc.

There is a mailing list for people interested in NNStat (or, in
  principle, any monitoring tools): bytecounters@isi.edu.
Send a msg to bytecounters-request to be added to the list.
