[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] SNMP info and TCP/IP test programs

bushell@hawk.nstn.ns.ca (Tom Bushell) (09/12/90)

Hello,

We're working on an IP router that will support SNMP. I haven't
seen any SNMP info on the TCP/IP news group in the week or so I've
been on. Is there another news group for SNMP? We have the SNMP
RFCs - what other sources have people found useful? I will
summarize and publish any responses.

Also, we are looking at ways to test our router. I've been told
there is a program called "ttcp" ("Test TCP") that may be useful.
Does anybody know where I can get this program, if it exists?

                                     Thanks in advance,

                                     Tom Bushell

Check RFC 1147 for availability info on ttcp.

In article <11384.653152095@cheetah.ca.psi.com> you write:

Do you know if there is a public domain SNMP manager/monitor
available that run on X windows under Interactive Systems
386ix Unix? Thank you.
