[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] TCP-IP board for VAX BI bus

jsd@mbunix.mitre.org (John Durand) (09/19/90)

Does anyone know of a board-based TCP-IP implementation which uses the VAX
BI bus other than Excelan's EXOS? If so, please provide manufacture &
product name/number. Thanks in advance.

The only other companies that make board-based IP for VMS products are CMC
and Interlan (Racal-Interlan, Micom-Interlan? not sure who has the IP products
now). Neither of them, to my knowledge, has done a BI board product. Lots of
vendors (well, 7 or 8) have host-based products though. On most newer BI
systems, you should have enough spare processor power to handle the protocol
processing (unless you've got it seriously loaded).
