I need information on SMB. I've seen it referred to as both Server Message Block protocol and Server Management Block protocol - which is correct? Where can I get more information on what it is and how it works? Also, would those of you running in an SMB client/server environment please pass on information concerning your server product (Company names, phone numbers, problems, etc.). I am especially interested in a comparison of Wollongong's SMB server product vs. Syntax's. Someone told me Syntax's product (name unknown) is licensed by Wollongong (is OEM'd the correct term?). Is this true? We have 6 uVAX 3600's running VMS 5.3-1 and Wollongong's WIN/TCP for VMS V5.1. Please reply to me directly; I'll summarize and post if enough interest.
