I'm doing a story on SNMP network manager software (as opposed to agent) for a story for Business Communication Review. If you produce or know of such software, available to users (i.e., not OEM-only), please let me know...or if there's some kind of global list, that'd be great. Thanks! The story will be an overview of the various packages available, with a chart comparing their features. -- "Drive carefully." "What is it with women and 'drive carefully'? 'No, I'm going to steer with my feet and read the comic paper.'"

Datapro has compiled a list of SNMP management systems. For information on getting their list, dial 1-800-DATAPRO, and ask to speak with Jill Huntington-Lee. Also, RFC 1147, available via anonymous FTP or email from nic.ddn.mil, lists several SNMP packages. - Bob Stine Applied Cybernetics, Inc.

Refer to RFC 1147 (Network Management Tool Catalog) as it lists several SNMP network management tools. It's not necessarily complete, but it's a good start.. /John
