I am interested in subnetting several building off our Ethernet backbone (passing TCP-IP, DECnet and AppleTalk packets) to cut down on the amount of backbone traffic and inefficient IP number usage. Anyone have phone numbers for networking companies (such as Proteon or Sysco)? I also want these routers to be managed by SNMP. Any suggestions? Proteon and Sysco are both Boston area companies and while Proteon does do networking, Sysco is a food service company. (You probably meant cisco, it's pronounced the same :-).

cisco can be reached at 415 326-1941. They probably have an 800 number, but I haven't a clue what it is. I'm suprised they haven't called you. They generally read this notes group. You can also send mail to cs@clash.cisco.com, this is genrally read by sales/technical people at cisco. Good Luck. Peter Haddad HPLabs Network Engineering (415) 857-5618

Hello all, If there are multiple copies of this around, sorry to waste the bandwidth. I fought the news reader and I think it won.... The cisco 800 number for customer service is 1-800-553-NETS or 1-800-553-6387. Thanks, Allan Leinwand cisco Systems leinwand@cisco.com
