Does anyone know of a reliable connectionless datagram protocol that runs on top of UDP? Is so, is there a library out there I can get? Thanks in advance, Erik Scheelke

All semantics aside there was a working group that had outlined a draft RFC xxxx for doing " OSI Connectionless XPORT Services on top of UDP ".....heresy I know (smile). It was in memo format and comments email addr was listed as 'chi@osf.org'. That is as close as you may come to a non proprietary implementation of what you are looking for. I don't even know if the group still exists, but the draft had some interesting possibilities for certain applications and services over an IP backbone. Good Luck George Williams

The easiest way of getting a "reliable datagram" is to run IP over TCP :-) Zheng
