[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] ttcp

VANCE@TGV.COM (L. Stuart Vance) (08/26/89)

Does anyone have a relatively virginal copy of ttcp that I could have?
The one I have has been hacked upon a bit, and I don't have a good feel
for what might have been altered.

Many thanks,
L. Stuart Vance

What are the copyright issues with ttcp? Are vendors permitted to
distribute it with their software? We would like to do this.

If Mike Muus (the author) reads this, or anyone knows his email address,
please email me.

Thanks.

      Ian,

Sorry for the delay, but I wanted to ping Mike Muuss to confirm my
understanding. The code for ttcp.c has been placed in the Public Domain,
so you can fold, spindle, multilate, and resell to your heart's content.
I modified our sources to include an explicit Public Domain comment and
updated the anonymous FTP copy on FTP.BRL.MIL (aka VGR.BRL.MIL,
26.2.0.29, 128.64.4.4). Enjoy.

				Later,
				    Bob
