[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] TCP/IP for UNISYS 1100/OS?

santa@HEMLOCK.CRAY.COM (Dave Sadler) (11/08/90)

Is there a TCP/IP product for the UNISYS 1100 series OS? Any pointers would be
appreciated.

Thanks, Dave Sadler (santa@cray.com)

Dave,
There are one of 2 options for TCP/IP on Unisys 1100/2200 Mainframes.
If your host has a DCP there is a DCP Ethernet Line Module that requires
the following software: Comm Delivery 4, TCP/IP Stack, DCP Lan Platform.
If you want ftp smtp you will also need DDN-1100. The other option is a
channel attached box call a Host Lan Controller (HLC). This box requires
DDN-1100 also but not the other software. Both of these options allow
connection to an Ethernet Segment. If you have any further questions
please email me or give me a call.
