[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] CUTCP/CUTE

german@news.nd.edu (Chad W. German) (11/14/90)

is release D. I'm using the software with Netware 286. I unarchived
it with the Zoo utilities and configured the config.tel file. When
I fire up the program it recognizes by card and puts me in server mode.
I have no problems with the software BUT I get a message:

Server mode, press ESC to exit or Alt-A to begin a session
Configfile: Warning, this version not compiled with Splay Compression
             Support

Can anyone advise me on this error message??????

Thanks in advance for all info.

This question is more appropiately placed in the
cutcp@omnigate.clarkson.edu discussion list.

Try setting splay=no in your config.tel file. Splay compression is
a feature that Brad Clements, cutcp's author, was playing with in
connection with Header Compression (the VJC parm which must also be
set to no).
