[net.unix-wizar] "diff" convention

root (06/14/82)

When producing a "diff", I suggest that the following convention be
used when specifying filenames:

	diff [options] <original> <new version>

The diff thus produced can be interpreted as the changes necessary
to get from the initial state (<original>) to the final state
(<new version>). This seems the more natural, and by using this
convention consistently, one can avoid confusion as to "which direction
the diff goes".
