[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] Q:Internet Connection creation.

EGKIM@KRSNUCC1.BITNET (Postmaster) (12/17/90)

This mail is from Seoul Korea.
Currently we have BITNET connection only from abroad.
We donot yet have Internet connection.
On these days, we are going to establish a domestic network, KREN(
Korea Research & Education Network) newly.
KREN is TCP/IP based network.
To utilize KREN efficiently, we have to open a connection to Internet.
We hope to open Internet connection to US directly.
To whom should we contact, at first ?
To which site can we request to open a connection for us ?
Additionally it'll be preferrable if the site has also
a Bitnet connection cause we hope to run VMNET concurrently.

Therefore we are looking for kind approval letting us open
a connection.

Would you please give me favor ?
Any kind of help will be welcome.
Thanks in advance.

-Kim Eunkyung.

An Internet connection to Seoul, Korea has been operating for many
months. I see that your BITnet node KRSNUCC1 is listed in the BITnet
routing tables as "Seoul Nat'l Univ CC, KR". I suggest that you talk
to the Administrative Contact for the KR domain, who is also in Seoul,
at an institute called "KAIST":
