[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] papers on computer networking courses

craig@SICS.SE (Craig Partridge) (12/28/90)

Hi folks:

ACM SIGCOMM Computer Communication Review is looking for a couple
of papers which describe graduate or undergraduate courses on computer
networking and distributed systems. (Note that these papers would be
published in regular issues of CCR, *not* the SIGCOMM Conference Proceedings).

The goal of this call is to stimulate some thinking in the computer
networking community about how we educate prospective computer scientists
about our field.

Papers should be no more than 15 pages long, and should include
a description of the scope of the course and its lectures, target audience
(i.e. graduates or undergraduates and pre-requisite courses), and a
recommended reading list. Preference will be given to papers which
reflect actual experience teaching the course described.

Papers can be sent to the CCR Editor at the address below -- electronic
submissions (PostScript or plain ascii) are preferred.

A friend from another university asked me what
he needs to do in order to join the distribution
list of TheoryNet. Can you send me the instructions?
Thanks
Eliezer.
