[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] port 20

hubcap@hubcap.clemson.edu (System Janitor) (01/18/91)

howdy -

A brief look at RFCs 1010 and 959 leads me to believe that all these
seemingly hung connections to port 20 on my machine are probably ftp
connections that failed somewhere during the initial (or closing ?)
hand-shaking.

I'm guessing this probably indicates some network connectivity problem between
``here and there'' and is really nothing for me, as system janitor of
this machine, to worry about... or is there?
