[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] SCO/Lachman port 60000

bob@netlabs.com (Bob Rench) (01/20/91)

Someone recently asked about a service using port 60000 on SCO Unix running
Lachman TCP. Evidently, this seems to be some type of copy protection
scheme. If you buy a single-user copy of TCP, and try to run it on more
than one machine, one of them will freeze up. I forget what the error
message is. The workaround is to buy a multi-user copy license.
