I am sorry if this is a subject that has been beat to death, but... Could someone please point me in the direction of any information about SNMP ? Specifically, I am looking for a good general overview. It can be in any form (Magazine article, FTPable, e-mail, listserv, etc...). The BEST book on the subject is The Simple Book by Marshall T. Rose (1990). Marshall Rose is one of the heavy duty implementers in both the TCP/IP and OSI worlds. Not only that, but he can write! (An unusual combination) Highly recommended.
