I agree that the cpd daemon is a nuisance. Does anyone know what happens if you remove it from the rc startup scripts? I've bought four copies of SCO Open DeskTop (in fact, we were in the developer program) - have never cheated them out of a dime. Four machines - four copies. But the traffic is an annoyance, and I do have a strong aversion to these childish protection schemes. (In fact, I have never soiled one of my systems with Lotus 123, for the same reason!)
