I would like to hear from those of you who have set up MPE hosts to interact with other MPE hosts and/or PCs running HP's virtual terminal software, accross TCP/IP routers. I have been told that this is difficult or impossible, at best. I hope to dispute this comment, and solve some problems. Things to keep in mind... 1. I am not experienced with MPE. 2. I am experienced with TCP/IP, but not HP's under MPE. 3. The routers support HP-Probe, and ARP. 4. Hosts are HP 3000s and PCs are mixed variety. 5. PCs talk with local hosts just fine. 6. Remote hosts are accross 56Kb links. 7. All local traffic is on Ethernet. Please respond directly to me at jliv@gibbs.sfsu.edu, and I will summarize upon request. jliv
