[net.unix-wizar] Where does the Kernel Actually Change Contexts?

perry (02/23/83)

Many hours have I spent over the Berkeley 4.1 sources. My problem is
this: Where does the kernel actually identify the next process to be run and
load the cpu registers, the global user record pointer etc? Looking in
vmsched.c only reveals how the kernel relates to the swapping decision. What
am I missing?

I am sure that other people would probably like to know the answer
to this question so any replies will be condensed and forwarded to the net.
