I'm looking for a PC- and/or Unix-based (especially RS/6000 AIX) network/protocol analysis software package that understands NFS/RPC/XDR over TCP/UDP/IP on ethernet networks. Understanding of other IP-family protocols would be a real bonus, too. I seem to recall a network posting in the last couple of months about such a package that was available via anonymous ftp. Naturally, I can't find the posting now that I need the package (must not have saved the article like I intended). Can anyone provide pointers to this or other packages with similar capabilities? We already have and make extensive use of a Sniffer, so that's not the recommendation I'm looking for here. I'm looking for something I can fire up in my office at random and sometimes extended intervals for troubleshooting without having to take the Sniffer out of productive use elsewhere. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide. If I get the usual flood of "please let me know what you find out" replies, I'll repost a short summary.
