	Second call for SLIP info
	=========================

	A couple of weeks ago, I posted to the net a request for people who were
	using SLIP or ppp to mail me info on where they got it, what they had to
	do to it to make it work and what they are using it for, so that I could
	do a summary and post it to the net.

	The number of requests for the info far exceeded the contributions to the
	information and I notice that more questions about SLIP are turning up on
	the net, so I am taking this occasion to post for a second time to ask if
	anyone who missed or did not reply to the first posting and who is making
	SLIP or ppp work for its living could please mail me with the details.

	I have more or less got the info on the location of info on and the code
	for SLIP and ppp (largely by my own researches) but I do need more on the
	implementation/management functions to make my report complete.

	Thanks if you contributed before and thanks if you are about to contribute.

Could some kind soul explain to me exactly what SLIP is, it's pro's
and cons? Please forgive my naivety. Thanks
