RFC 1041 states that the 3270-regime command code is 29. We have found it to be 24 (x'18'/ctrl-X). Has anyone had a similar experience or any comments/suggestions to offer? Thanx in advance. -- -- {ames!ncar!noao!asuvax, mcdphx}!anasaz!jburt anasaz!jburt\ John Burtchaell (602) 395-1743 anasaz.UUCP!jburt>@asuvax 1309 E. RFC 1041 is correct; the problem is that it DOES NOT describe current TN3270 practice. I would be very surprised if you actually found an implementation of 1041 outside IBM. See my posting of a few weeks ago for a description of current TN3270 practice. The 0x18 value you see is the Telnet Terminal Type option, as widely used by both Ascii and 3270 Telnets... James B.
