               Prof. E.G. Manning of this department will  speak  on
               "The Institute for Computer Research at the Universi-
               ty of Waterloo".

               ABSTRACT

               An overview of the Institute for Computer Research at
               the  University of Waterloo will be given.  This will
               include the formation of the Institute, a description
               of  the  member groups of the ICR, and the advantages
               to graduate student education.
