I've heard some interesting things about SLIPs but don't know
how they work or how to install one. Can anyone enlighten me???

Thanks...

The way slips work is that they stay underneath the
dresses and prevent... oh, you mean SLIP (singular) :-)

SLIP (Serial Line IP) uses a serial communication line
(RS232, 433, etc...) as the physical path over which IP
traffic works. It's usually implemented at driver level,
much as the ETHERNET driver is. IP over serial lines is
for all practical purposes (except bandwidth and throughput)
identical to IP over any other medium.

Catch me via email for further info...
