[net.news.group] Has net.micro.apple.mac been created?

<"This is Jim Rockford, after the tone leave your name & number,
I'll get back to you.">

I sent out the creation command a couple of weeks ago, but we have received
no traffic at all. Is it out there? Also, are there still brain-damaged
programs out there that can't handle > 14 character newsgroups? (like notes?)
What's the percolation time?

If the message to create the group reached the backbone sites, it certainly
did not make its way around the entire backbone. Here at uw-beaver and
related sites we saw an announcement indicating that the group had been
created but we did not see a subsequent control message to create it.

<no message>

Well, it looks like the control message to create net.micro.apple.mac
died somewhere along the way. uw-beaver says they received the welcome
message, but no control message (which was sent a day BEFORE the welcome
message). The nearest backbone to us is ihnp4 - if net.micro.apple.mac
doesn't exist there, perhaps it would be better if ihnp4 starts a new
control message to create net.micro.apple.mac; ihnp4, do you copy?
